Podcasts

Podcasts are audio files that are available online; sort of radio programs on the Internet, with the difference that you can listen to them whenever and wherever you like.

AntiCast was one of the largest independent podcasts in Brazil. It was about politics, but it started in 2011 as a program created by Mizanzuk that gathered friends to talk about design, art and culture. He was the host until early 2021.

Projeto Humanos is currently the largest storytelling podcast in Brazil. It had more than 5 million plays in its fourth season until May 2020. Entitled “The Evandro Case“, it was about a criminal case that took place in Guaratuba, a city on the coast of Paraná, in 1992. Involving allegations of black magic, satanic cult activities, child sacrifice and police torture, the case generated the longest jury trial in Brazilian history – 34 days. This season caught the public’s attention by the depth and twists of the case, bringing information and unprecedented outcomes of the process. In 2021 a series about the case was launched by Globoplay and a book by Harper Collins and in 2022 the series was nominated to Emmy International.

In October 2023, Mizanzuk started publishing the podcast’s fifth season, called “The Leandro Bossi Case“, about another criminal case that happened to a child in Guaratuba in 1992.

In The Daughters of War, the first season of The Human Project, Ivan Mizanzuk interviewed a Holocaust survivor; in the second season, entitled The Heart of the World, he told the story of Brazilians and refugees who experienced the latest conflicts in the Middle East, from 9/11 to the Syrian War and the rise of the self-proclaimed Islamic State; in the third season, What Makes a Hero? Mizanzuk trained volunteers to produce one episode each, telling their stories about heroism.
